About CivvyStreet

Civvy Street
CivvyStreet is a free online service supported by The Royal British Legion to help anyone from the Forces community throughout their career in civilian life. The service provides a wealth of information, interactive services, resources and links to employers and service organisations who can help you and your family during transition from the Armed Forces or at any time throughout your civilian career.

Who is CivvyStreet for?

CivvyStreet is for members, service providers and employers.

CivvyStreet is for anyone who has served in the UK Armed Services (regular or reserves). It is also for their widows, widowers, partners and dependants. Anyone with an Armed Services connection can apply to become a registered and approved member of CivvyStreet. Membership is validated against Armed Services number and branch. Once registered - members become life long members, meaning the CivvyStreet Partnership

Service Providers

CivvyStreet is also for organisations who provide services to serving and former members of the UK Armed Services and their dependants – especially learning and work related services. These organisations can become partners of CivvyStreet, accredited to provide information, advice and guidance services. Partners benefit from a high profile portal through which they can offer their specialised services to CivvyStreet members.

CivvyStreet can help Employers to find suitable recruits from the ex-Service community who are already skilled and able.  Not only can employers post vacancies on the site and search CVs but vacancies can be matched to suitable candidates who are notified to respond to the vacancy.
